I'm Coming Home !!!!

I'm making plans to return. I will be home before June 1st. It's been a wonderful stay, but I'm looking forward to doing all of the mundane things I used to do at home, like laundry and watering the flowers. Not to mention I can't wait to see all my friends and family !!!

I have always meant to take more pictures around campus, but now that dad is coming to visit I will take lots of pictures while showing him the campus.

Looking forward to seeing everyone real soon !!!!!!!

Safranbolu & Kastamonu

I took a trip with Nadia and Camay a while back (mid March) and I'm just getting the pictures posted. It was a wonderful trip and as always the people were warm and hospitable.

Ephesus, Afrodisias, and Hierapolis

Went on a wonderful trip to the ancient Roman cities of Ephesus, Afrodisias, and Hierapolis. The trip was sponsored by ARIT (American Researchers in Turkey) and the best part was that it was guided by a local professor of archeology. This meant not only did we get all the history, but we also got to enter all the non-public dig sites, museum back rooms, and other generally closed to the public areas. Those Romans knew how to build a city!! We finished off the tour with a trip to Pamukkale to see the incredible calcium deposits.
